Do not follow where the path may lead
For it is stifled and over used
The grass is dead
No flowers bloom
No birds call
Dead trees just loom

Do not follow where the path may lead
For you’ll just get stuck in traffic
The path is crammed
With ones so dull
So empty, so cold
Some just plain dead

Do not follow where the path may lead
For there’s nothing there to do
The path is clear
And mapped in ink
So there are no surprises left
For any who walk that trail

Do not follow where the path may lead
And save your self the toil
The pain, the stress and boredom
Go instead where there’s no path
And leave a trail
Of Your Own.

A poem by Flick (OYP)
Based on the quote:
"Do not follow where the path may lead.
Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. "~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Flick~
Welcome, Welcome to our halls of poetry~

I just visited your website and am SO impressed with your talent at creating a site for young poets~

I 'think' that at the age of 13, I was still trying to figure out a typewriter !

What creative talents are shared via this modern technology~

Enjoy your stay among us ... there are some talented folks here~

Welcome to Passions, Flick.  Like Marge, I visited your website.  First of all, it is quite professional in its design, and secondly, from the two poets I took time to read, you conduct yourselves far beyond the age of teens, and that is to be highly commended.

I look forward to reading more of your work.  Invite your OYPs...they would be welcome here.
