If I think about it For too long Or too deeply Diamond-drops of tears Unravel themselves Down my cheeks Looking for the entrance Into the fire-pit Of my heart Where it all burns And sears A crisping pain But there is no entrance found. For the door was sealed Concrete coated Draped in velvet So as to not mar the outer appearance For appearance is so important In this world Smile Smile So just how do I go on Day by day Not thinking about My torn heart? |

This poem is sweet in its honesty. Thank you for sharing, Sandra. “We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best that we can find in our travels is an honest friend.” –Robert Louis Stevenson |

Sometimes you think about it...sometimes you put it aside...sometimes you try the opposite approach...you think of the good things you have...and you will have again...James |

Sandra~ 'Diamond-drops of tears Unravel themselves Down my cheeks Looking for the entrance Into the fire-pit Of my heart Where it all burns And sears A crisping pain' I have had to sit at that fire-pit ... praying for the tears to put out the flame~ *HUGLETS* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |
