Lumpy Oatmeal makes me Crazy!

My Five Senses

I taste words
I feel them on my lips
caressing the soft skin
with a well-placed syllable
They lay on my tongue
satiating me as they tantalize
teasing, beckoning
me
I see words
When I close my eyes
they are there
painting a picture in my mind
The arc of the wave
the blazing sun as it torches the clouds
searing, scorching
me
I hear words
They are a song in my mind
a haunting lulliby
which fills my soul with life
Swooshing and swirling as they dance
to the song they wrote
soothing, enticing
me
I smell words
They fill me with the memories
of chocolate ice cream cones
and toasted cheese sandwiches
Comforting me from the storms of my dreams
blanketing me in warm aromas
calling, saturating
me
Ifeel words
on the tip of my tongue and fingers
swirling and bubbling into sentences
speaking my thoughts
They are the magic from deep within
setting me free
teasing, luring
me
