Kansas City can't be that bad,
1000 miles isn't really far,
it would take me about an hour
to pack my life into my car

more opportunity, better pay,
I'd break out of this prison,
though I may need to sleep in my car
until the setting sun has risen

I may get lost and lonely
and feel like letting go,
Kansas City can't be that bad...
better than here, I know.

Still, I'll be cursing the night
passing on so slow

and the cross I bear will weigh a ton-
you know I'll be praying for the sun.

Nice writing...not sure if your connected to family members where you are...when I moved away from family I miss them alot...plan on lots of return visits if family members stay behind...James

They say a change is as good as a holiday Dixie, change if you must but find yourself first and then your happiness. Take care dear friend and be well.
Ps Take a blanket for in the car, your memories to drive you on and some cash to get by on.
