When Surrounded By Silence

Each time, I think of you
Those tears come, once again
As I remember all those things
You and I use to do

Oh, how my heart does ache
As I recall the love we use to share
Throwing away all of those years
Just seems so unfair

Sometimes, I can’t help but wonder
If there ever really was a time when
You really even cared at all, or
Was it all just in my mind

As I sit here today in silence
Recalling all those years
I gave all I had given you
My eyes are filled with more tears

Most of the time I can push them all back
Once in a while though, they keep coming
Oh how I wish, those memories would leave
Then, I wouldn’t find myself weeping

Someday, those memories will all be gone
I will be able to feel, again, what we shared
Then maybe, just maybe I will find someone
Who will really and truly care

My hope is when the memories fade some of the good ones will come to take their place.  You write so beautifully -- you show the beauty inside you.  My heart goes out to you as you have touched me.

Ah Sue..one day soon it will get much easier.
Sending heart hugs your way.
Love ya, Nancy

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

You know....my grandmother stayed through thick and thin...
and when thick got to be so much and she was about to estrange herself...
things became very thin, and she held true...

it is amazing what we will do for another...

and in this day and age, such things do not go unrewarded.

You did your best, you will continue to do your best...

all I can know is, that the next fellow
who spots a gem?

Will have a diamond!
