It Isn't You

As quiet as it is tonight,
still, I rage inside,
longing to be touched by light,
to emerge from where I hide.

I see how normal people live,
that's what I want for me,
I know there's some way to forgive
and another way to be.

Does that mean I need to let you go?
If I never try, I'll never know.
These hours pass by painfully slow
but I believe I can see the glow
of a light there in the distance
slowly coming through,
and I breathe a sigh of hope
in knowing it isn't you.

sometimes the hardest part is when it's realized that things should not be the way they are, and the best option is to let go, even though we may know that - it's easier said then done often enough.

beautiful poem.

What Sy said Dixie...
Love ya lady~

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

There is one....often not the light we expected (whether wishing for it or not), but always there is one.

I could have sworn that I posted to this poem.  I love it -- Just love it.  I guess that's why I thought I had posted, I have read it quite a few times and each time - I love it more.
