Reflections Of Light You know... (but I'll tell you again) I study the stages of light its birth, its life, its end I stop and observe you in moderation in certain degrees of day absorbing love and isolation Light falls in a strange way at 7:22 when you're in the evening dusk looks good on you I wish you would leave, you should leave well enough alone when I must squint to find reprieve In conclusion I see right through morning's guise when it tells afternoon's lies so I'll turn my focus to a steady ache something that doesn't fall and rise because you have become opaque and now you only hurt my eyes. |
