Because There Was Mike ...
~*Marge Tindal*~

I knew the love of a younger brother
that filled my heart with memories at will
he is now gone beyond the wall
that separates us still~

Down the corridor of death he strolled
far too soon in his manly life
left a family that loved him so
barely carrying on through the strife~

It should not have been this way
Mike should still be here today~

~*~

~After twenty six years of missing him, it's still so very hard~
In loving memory of my little brother

As I called my brother this morning, I thought of yours... and though I know the missing will never end... I send my love and hugs and hopes your heart finds peace.

I enjoyed mine a wee bit longer,
but the missing him is as great as yours.

Marge, I know how you feel. My brother was born in 1956, and he died in 1980. I sure do miss him.

Thank you all for thinking of me~
The night that we lost Mike, due to the negligence of a drunken driver who left his vehicle stranded on the highway while he slept it off in a motel across the road, stands so sharply in my memory~

No one should perish like our Mike did ... and it just plain downright hurts~

Dear Marge:

I never had a brother, although I always wanted one, but I can't even imagine what it would be like to have had one and lost him!

Yes MT, things like this should never
happen to any one.  And, it hurts so
greatly when it is one of our own flesh
and blood... And,  to think that the
driver of the vehicle might be alive
after living a full life...Things never
feel fair when they happen this way.

No one should have to experience this, Marge. This is so sad.

I so appreciate you all~

I held the day about me in tender recall~
Lovingly wrapping Mike's memories around me and knowing that all those special things about him are the reasons I miss him so~

How we could have enjoyed so many grown-up moments together ... *sigh*

I hear his laughter on the breeze, see his open smile as he tries to tell me something that he knows I already know ... we were blessed to have known each other ... God, why couldn't it have been for longer ?
