In my dreams I see the moonlight shining...
Shining over the night, fields of green.
There's a burning feeling in my heart for
a place I long to be.

In my dreams I hear birds singing amongest
the forest of trees, the river runs along in between
O' so very peacefully.

In my dreams I long for summer.

Until he extends the circle of his compassion to all living things,
man will not himself find peace."

You tempt me to transform your poem into "Winter Dream in Summer", because I am melting ... ahh, the moon shining over fields of white ...

Your beautiful yearning words emanate such peace, the river brings freshness, I think the Summer you dream of might be a welcome reality.

Love,
Margherita

Thank-you Margherita for the wonderful comment.
This was an older poem of mine. Done some tweaking and changing to it.
It is summer here, enjoying it to the fullest with planting flowers, things.

Not only is this beautiful, but it hits home with me.  I love to go around barefoot and fish away a summer night, or watch fireflies.  I just love summer.  The cold of winter hurts, it makes me sick, its not fun.  All winter long I dream of summer too.

froggy,

I couldn't help but read this aloud.  It flows ever so gently and naturally.  Very, very pretty and a refreshment from yesterday's tasks!  This is a nice place to stop and begin a new day.  Thanks!
