he painted a picture just for me silken blues and regal hues of purple swirling into a solemn dark tree that-maybe?-stood for me so strong & silent, that tree all i'd ever wished *not* to be and i sat there with the guilt of my thoughts the fear that maybe i could never love him (enough) that maybe i could never ache (enough) for his touch not enough to withstand the quiet not enough to muffle the crying for all i've longed to be for the freedom and joy i see *not* in that tree that solemn tree that-maybe?- stood for me and i gazed at him gently while the back of my tongue though maybe? maybe! i should just spill these things onto my own clean canvas form them into my own new tree that could-maybe?- stand for a new me but his eyes bore through again the love shone through again and i wouldn't... ...i couldn't.... and so just let it be he painted a picture just for me |

One stunning and artisticly splendid articulation of the frailty and the strength of love. TD |
