The blood of nature stains the rivers numbing surface, The ice is cold and freezes her memory, This sacrifice, and it's blissful sorrow, drown in a perpetuating suffering A snowfalls deceiving downfall helps my thoughts reminisce Of the lucidity, and warmth in my dreams She drowns in this decaying undercurrent, where life ends Her amnesty, so adored, through the waking cold Senses, fade away into the silence Bid farewell to this loathsome memory When these dreams escape my wounds, Return to the landscape of perpetual snowfall |

The title caught me right off the top. I really enjoy the subject matter, although I’m sure some may mislabel it as glorification of self-mutilation. I see it as desperation to escape from loss and hide within oneself. I understand the feeling all too well. Wonderful piece. |
