traditional values forking
the stomachs of long suffering mothers

becoming slaves of alternatives
   eating smug flamboyance

pointing fingers of truth
    prayers howling like demons

hence validating life’s pleasurable embrace
following their letters of mortal sin

deafness becoming religions of essence
    of our own eternal torments

extortionists…

envy is a special velvet lined chest
with large degrees of evil eyes

perverts, murderers

possessing an amulet
hanging around the spells of romance novels

children embracing the pain
    special pranks with buzzing shocks

moaning tones of high end idleness
    brings happy sighs of satisfaction

opportunity drags itself to a desolate nest
with positive grins and Hollywood fashions

special effects, wandering the pits alone
collecting meteoritic rain from manuals of defeat

while the less traveled path offers something different
a choice of faith against hunger thirst and sex

can you say, restlessness?

foregoing all comforts and ease
    reveling in companionship with guilt
for the guiltless
who really do believe in detailed imaginings
spending hours mopping up the floors with recycled
       paper towels…ascending to their holiness
of flea marketed sales, higher then ever

halfway down the day of wide yearnings in bare feet
love and adoration whispering deep secrets
that no body hears

faster then the speed of light
what happened to the thousand light years
of lucky starts
that begin on the edge of reason?

I could just read you all day, LeeJ
(and would! if pesky work didn't keep bugging me)

can you say, restlessness?

Yes, Yes with a capital R

halfway down the day of wide yearnings in bare feet
love and adoration whispering deep secrets
that no body hears
