There's a story? |

The grass grows high and higher in the fields of “could have been” and a walk around the meadow sinks feet into the feel of soft and silent tears dropping to their knees like servants to my fear. Once upright, proud and righteous they thought to never plead until thought became possessed of a better way to be and I can understand their disoriented feel because fortune never smiles on tears told to leave. But they went and they bent into authenticity and squeezed a million years of tearful energy into the lines and pages of nonconformist poetry. “There’s a story?” he asked and I said, “Don’t look at me. The charge of trespass comes to bear on he who doesn’t feel and there in the distance beyond where I can see the judgment and the sentence; “God help you all and me - please." Oh, and stories walk the line of time; they’re like goblins dressed in blue scampering in and out of lifetime reviews scribbling this and that, debating the facts, and changing points of view. Then comes the day of soul refrains and the feel of wishful times simply bridesmaids at the altar of the world’s heady lies but now the bride of future love walks desire’s fulsome white down the green of inner needs grown higher, higher, high! The analogy is superb, Helen! I like this one very much! Oh, if only, the grass didn't grow so tall..... .....jo |

Thanks to all for the read. We've had so much rain here that the parks department can't get to cutting the grass and this makes walking my dogs difficult for me - and that's apart from the poem's real issue that also makes life difficult. Oh, yes, it's all just a test of strength no doubt - I'm failing dismally. |
