howl me another one
and maybe
I'll just go away quietly
or not

it isn't every day
that the wind and rain gets the best of me
but today
the skies are crying a river
faster than I can cry over you

no
I will not float away today
nor is it likely I shall drown
in misery's streambed

but damn, sometimes
I hate cloudbursts
that open up and let you have it
between the eyes
no

more like
FROM the eyes

and tomorrow?
the brilliant sun might shine again,
not that it will make a difference to me

for I shall get up and do
what must be done
no matter the weather

what weather?

Well said, Kacy!  The strength of you shows in the title...it's almost like a dare.  On the other hand, it reminds me a little of those lines, "Play it again, Sam."  Yes, you will do what a woman has to do.   ...jo

I love your reply, Jo! LOL, you must have some xray visual ability.
I wish we lived close enough to go chat all day at a coffee shop! I'd even grace the table of a Denny's just to sit and chat about life with you.
And...if a wrankster prankster, a winged dove, and witchangel (from nawlins, not montgomery) should also show up?? LOL, we would take over those coffee pots and MAKE the morning news go where we wanted it to.
Am I hallucinating?????????

I love how this simply rolls like the thunder clouds that are ever present through out.
Excellent write.

Me too but at least we know that most times they come and then go.  Enjoyed!

I could feel the pain between the lines. Just remember that behind the darkest clouds that the sun still does shine. Hold on for brighter days, they will warm your heart once again.

Sigh...all the good words have been taken, but I particularly like this portion.
"that open up and let you have it
between the eyes
no

more like
FROM the eyes"

Great line Kacy.

" for I shall get up and do
what must be done

Such power in here.
