I loved you the first time I saw you
I remember your lips touching mine.
How you used to stand by that rock
As though making yourself hard to find
I remember looking back longing
Being too shy to speak words
I knew you read my heart then
It was love at first sight.
When you came back after all these years
It was hard for us both to fight back the tears.
I realized you loved me too,
As we spoke of years that had passed
You offered to take me with you now
But I needed some time to mend from this shock
I knew that God had brought you back
So I could forgive you for not choosing me
When I had picked you to be my first love.
I will never forget you or the love in my heart
I loved you the first time I saw you
And I still love you now...

I saw this title and KNEW ... just KNEW
I had to read it ... I believe that 'first loves' are 'always loves' ... the foreverly of time that keeps us suspended in wonderful memories no matter whether we are fortunate enough to ever see that 'first love' again or not~

Marge, Hope,and Fee I want you to know I am all choaked up. When I read this poem I cry because I never got the chance to tell him that I was going to go with him and then due to circumstances I lost track of where he was. I have been looking for him and he's gone. So I trusted the lord and just forgave and If I find him someday, It will be right. If not it will be right too.
