By the time you got this, it was too late She was only a memory in your recorded mind. You ponder the fun days you shared... And you wondered why she left. Where were you when she was here And sitting lonely in her home? Watching the phone She listened to the silence of the wind. Waiting and watching she slowly deteriorated away. Now, what are you doing in that daze of realization that she's gone? Why didn't you stop long enough to be with her When she was here on this plain? It's lonely to see how alone we can be Without those we love... Acknowledge someone in your life today Or flash they'll be gone like she... This poem is dedicated to my best friend Jody as a reminder to myself to take time out for my loved ones. [This message has been edited by Enchantress (01-28-2006 06:49 PM).] |

She listened to the silence of the wind. Good line. I love it. Like a ship blown from it's mooringby a wind off the sea- I have been changed for good. |

Nakdthoughts I'm sorry about your sister. I try to take time out now for family and friends. Thank you and Katerie for the nice compliment. I was afraid this poem wouldn't be well recieved but it is how I felt at that time. You both just made my day. Huggs Kim

Jody, It is as if you were reading my mind tonight. I feel terribly guilty for not delivering some old pictures to someone who just passed away. I said I would and had planned to do that today, finding out it was too late. Guess one shouldn't procrastinate... Nicely written. miscellanea |

Thank you Nancy I try to share my wisdom and earned knowledge. Miscellanea This poem is just what I went through when Jody died. Do not feel guilty now. I've since realized thats exactly what the evil one wants. God takes our loved ones when they are ready and they have all the pictures they need.
