She lies wearing silk on the rock down by the river waiting for me to paint and make her a saint. I take a breath give it my best guide the brush with my mind try to make something beautiful. My eyes are closed I see her body draped in colours and it's incredible when I think how perfect this will be. She motions to me with her finger I show her my picture and she nodes in approval as we slip underwater to treasure our wicked surprise. Benjamin Prins 2006. |
