Came from a Parrot in Town Dave When you're a parrot in town Everything gets you down Trying to find a chick The taxis don't seem so quick All you want is some feathers Under a bright light You get heather's When all you want is your toenails clipped Trying just to look a little chic Your credit cards under your tail The standard sorry tale Gets you flying quick All you needed was the heat A sauna would have been a treat And you get mothers On your back Up your feathers Clackity clack Your front Your tail Your almost bare Asking why they Just stare Dave |

I suppose I try and make fun in some silly way and laugh as I write. I get fun out of writing and also heartache. I always used to say that at the end 'someone will take and daub a picture' and that will then become words, for at the end, when all is lost, there will be something - if you can get the brick out of someone's hands and they consider living to be second to domination Take these thoughts with a pinch of salt, like everything, we need both Dave |
