One day when you see a man With long hair down the road Probably has a cigarette Maybe smelling like mold But it shouldn’t matter to you Because it won’t matter to him He wouldn’t take a (expletive filtered out)dollar No matter how many cents He knows as well as you That he’s found something you’ve not And if you should give him a lift Well, that’s a start. He can see you long to be Simply like him and him is me and me is he and he is a “sin”. But he cares not He only guides himself In a world of distraught Can he depend on you for help? Or will you condemn him For living simply free You surely do envy him He’s what you useto be Before your degree That you thought to be Your savior in white Shining so-so serene Unfortunately it only brought A mundane nine to five This wanderer can only be caught Working to stay alive He cares not for worldly things He only wants to roam He found the key in everyone He is his own home He’ll invite you in for a meal Should you only ask But his food is unorthodox You might call it trash It’s but a different take on life Unusual from your own But I can see you smiling You too’d make a good hobo In the end, finally When all is said and done Everyone needs to find Something or someone to love Many love another Many shallow, love money I love freedom Along with days sunny I know this will repeat Inside your desperate mind You hate the hours nine to five You can’t stand Father Time Me, however I love Father Time Him and me are simply grand And I am his child Born crashing into the sands I hope you’ll be reborn Into his humble home It’s so nice to go by Your time and yours alone. |

In tipping over that proverbial hourglass, alongside my wine glass, on one of my four nights off...I don't work 9-5 either...but rather work the graveyard shift. LOL. Still, I pay a lot of pied pipers so that I don't sleep under the stars and the moon except when I choose to camp out. I enjoyed the write! |
