from that terminal door
across pavements
sometimes wet
alcoholics leave
some look back
others return
in the way
of traffic
other road riders
familiar crossings
familar bartender
and drinking glasses
clink
favored to fill
emptied at will
consumed like them
that drink to a haze
beyond recognition
permanent condition
they jay walk out
bums on the way
to another
still another
watering hole
crossing roads
in the way.

Roads criss crossed time after time until the last road is taken...a fine write here and done with such truth too..thank you..

appreciate your comments, one doesn't have to drink though to image the sortis of many a nameless person here.
