she will not believe that I am dead. she comes to me like Mary Magdalene to an Easter morning tomb, and finding less than a body, imagines more. so we still live together: she sleeps with me like blood sleeps in a wound; I keep her warm like a body warms a cross. |

Damn, this is powerful....brilliant! I, too, am surprised that no one else has commented on this.....I find that things move way too fast in the forums, and the intelligent, thought-provoking poems often get passed by.
