LIKE WATER
you say you want truth, but truth is like water: it’s the shape of the sky; it’s the shape of this glass; it’s the shape of my mouth. which truth do you want?
you say you want love, but love is like water: it can bathe you; it can cool you; it can drown you. which love do you want?
you say you want me, but I am like water: I’m a mist; I’m a splash; I am ice. which me do you want?
you say you want water, but water is like truth; water is like love; water is like me. which water do you want?

I am enjoying your poetry very much. I like your style and the way you think, not necessarily what you think, but definitely the way you do so - thinking is a very exciting thing for me. I also find your poetry very clever and beautifully structured (one small example is the five stanzas in Five Card Stud - I am not acquainted with most card games, but I gather that there is significance in five cards in poker).
Glad to meet all four of you (water, mist, splash, ice)! Hopefully "she" wants all four!

Anthony~
I love this - poignant and softly powerful; You took a well-used image and made it unique and your own. I relate to this and look forward to reading more poems of yours I'm saving this in my library.Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world!
