A poem from a few years back - I decided to post it after I read
"Word Play" from time prophet, posted 04-22-2006

Twenty Years Old

If being twenty years old
Is believing in endless love
And in rare, but true friendship
If it is having the world at your door
And desire to see it all
If it means never loosing hope,
Never walk back, never give up
If it is having a thousand dreams
And work hard to make them true
If when you are twenty years old
Life is like an open book
Then in many years from now
I may read my last page, like us all
But I swear that in my heart
I will be twenty forever…

Being 20 in heart, and 80 in wise...
seems like a good place to be.

I liked this, Mia.

And as you said to me recently,
it is a good place to be
for the poets
are fine.

Mia, perhaps it's because we are both from the YOUNG country of Canada! ~ but I feel as though I will be 20 forever as well!

Enjoyed your poem and your spirit!

Would the little girl in you like to come out and play with the little girl in me? Laughing Baby

Happy hugs,

Mia, anyone that knows me well knows that I believe in Peter Pan     I refuse to age!  It is a healthy way to be. Playing with children keeps you young as does hard work, and both - wow, you will stay young forever trust me (well at least on the inside.)

Hi Mia,

Your poem reminded me of

"When I was one and twenty
I heard a wise man say..."

Thank you for bringing to mind a wonderful poem by your choice of beautiful words.

lol
Probably because I was nearly twenty when I wrote it. hehehe

That aside... I still believe in all those things and despite a couple of years in the bottom of no where, I still persue my dreams... I am not one to give up. My heart will remain young as long as I'll believe.
