I'm losing patience
I can feel it coming on.
It's too outrageous
You know that it's all wrong.
Do you think that you can trash it...
and sweep it underneath the rug?

You've got no answers
You've got no plan.
You're just a little thorn
stuck in the side of Man.
But when the mess has hit the fan...
aint it time to pull the plug?

I'm getting restless
Without a place to roam
With every step I take
it seems you're at my heels.
You're so damned useless
Sitting on your paper throne
With a borrowed pen
and a stack of dirty deals.

I'm getting ornery
from all your butting in.
Trying to be my friend
when we both know that it aint so.
You have no power
You're just a fake.
A hand-me-down habit
that folks can't seem to shake.

You're just a puppet.
It's Punch and Judy
And they're like kiddies at the show
Too entertained to know
That their hand is up the puppet
when the puppet strikes the blow.
So on and on it goes...

They may cringe
and they may shout
But they never think about
How you could not
stand so stout...
If they'd just pull their damn hand out.

You write a lot about women who have in some way hurt you or betrayed you. I am sorry if this is the case for you. But through it, you have written some awesome poems/songs. I really enjoy your work. I pray that someday your dreams, whatever they may be, come true.
