ETERNAL SPACE 10 April 2001 today was the withdrawal from the world the sealing of lips in a frozen silence the bolting of eyes against the blinding light the locking of hands in a stone-cold pose the logging off of the heart on the snow-laden doorstep the shrink-wrapping of the soul in the bottom of the box the deleting of thought to a stark, blank page none will know the long history and none will wonder why for there will be the mouthing of plastic clatter through a mask of cheap make-up today was the day of reckoning the acceptance of non-existence the climbing into the coffin the pulling down of the lid not wondering what life was for - Owl |
