NATURAL SMILE

It's easy to smile

with no thoughts
of yesterday or tomorrow

even when
there is so much

to
frown about

The secret is ...
our momentary response

to thoughts,
here, now

Still the mind
with the eyes wide open

and smiles bloom
natural, like flower buds

and find their way
from eyes to lips

without even
a thought
