My pretty Princess fluffy white Peace be with you, you showed us love Me sitting you sleeping in the sun Do I still hear feed me, feed me now Give me kibble or something green, I’ll have Asparagus, oh yes, oh please And how your eyes would talk Our cat died in January Yes Our cat died in January Her happy life is over What more can I say what more She naps - forever she dreams And in my heart still leaves white fur On sweatshirts and all over the floor Indulge me in this partial list She gave us love and so much more Some Siamese, Rag Doll nose, long hair Persian Whatever she was - She was a friend I’ll miss her mornings at the door The sounds of snoring deep from corners Lap warmer, and her bright blue eyes Perched on the bathtub edge performing The perfect tail dip That first day seventeen years ago We met, you purred as if saying Can I come home, can I please Ask my wife I said Its up to her you see Your little kitty cat eyes then winked at me I’ll be in the laundry room and by the way My name is Jewels they sparkle like my eyes I’ll wait, have peace, I’ll see you latter on And as I pet my pal on her last night I felt her final purrs Thank-you for taking me in they said For shampoos and pretty sticky bows She asked us to remember how cute she looked And as our Jewels purred, I thanked her Alas - She said Meow |

I've loved many a cat and had to say goodbye..so understand the sweet sentiment you feel for your beloved friend at her passing. Your poem touched me in my cat place. Welcome to passions! |
