Write Me The Blues By Paul Wilson I want to write the blues but my heart won’t bleed The blues are something special they comfort me in my need The South is where I was born the blues nurtured me each day Sometimes sang for healing the heart sometimes when loved one’s go away My heart is beating to this soulful sound as teardrops fall to the ground Blues are the life blood of a man whose life has been turned upside down I need to write the blues to mend my lonely heart The words are calling me but I don’t know where to start A couple more drinks of soul and I might open up to you A few more memories of yesterday and my pen might write blue Play the blues It’s good for the soul to bleed a little now and then Share your feelings with the world maybe your heart will heal again I was born cradled by the blues swaying to it’s tearful sound The blues keep me company when you’re not around I feel the blues coming back to me filling my pen with it’s need I’m a blues man forever my heart nurture’s it’s seed ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |

If you'd only come see me, I'd sing them to you. |
