I spoke your name today; the robbins all came home again; upon these frozen limbs on wounded trees, the winter willows, relieved of plagues that hadn't yet begun to seize, instead, the newborn leaves; a climbing trellis making picture windows, a christening, of purple ink, the resurrection, of the impressionist's dream, a celebration ! the timezone freed! i spoke your name today; on frozen lips, a triology of letters kissed, and warmed the sting when mourners grieve. |
