This poem is a birthday gift to my friend Musimwa who lives in Kenya. He's dedicated to helping the poor, to teaching children, and he often speaks out against abuse and corruption.  Today, he is 26.  I wish him a Happy, Happy Birthday!

                M iracles move his fervor
                U nction and ultimate grace
                S culpted, blessed, and scient
                I ncalescent handsome face
                M orning mellows velvet voice
                W orship given no other
A spiration than God and Son

                   MUSIMWA is my Brother!

A point of interest:  MUSIMA is a name given to an ancester who was a nomad.  He was taken into one of the tribes in Zimbabwe and given the name MUSIMA, which means "one who wanders."

Like does attract Like.

With you and your friend Musimwa, it is a case of Light attracting Light.

I wish peaceful, joyful, and healthful year for your friend! Birthday Card

Love & warm birthday wishes to Musimwa!

Marty, my friend is a ray of light.  I would not know him if it weren't for the poetry sites.  Thank you for being so sweet.

I am a bit of a wanderer, a gypsy spirit in some ways, so enjoyed the comment you made about the origin and meaning of your friends name.
Please wish him a happy birthday from me too!

Thank you froggy for the birthday wishes and the comment on the verse.  He has been up to his eyebrows in exams this week.  So he will appreciate the well wishes extra!

micellanea, I'm glad you liked this. Your comment will him smile.  He does have a noble heart.

Thank you both!
