“He who sings prays twice." ~St. Augustine the doors of Our Lady of Lourdes embraces us a Holy Mother choir wears purple and gold double sway right right middle middle left left I will live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life church mother red flannel greatcoat soft jowls meeting collar enfolds us with loaves of bread sign of brotherhood wrinkled finger to lips shush wayward whispers Christ has died tiny girl just up off the floor slips the moorings of her daddy’s arms welcomed in the second pew she pats her starfish hands smiles her freedom smile at Daddy oh that freedom smile will one day break his heart Christ is risen lean priest from Savannah passionate lifts the host Lord I am not worthy the body of Christ amen wipes the plate of crumbs licking thin fingers cup of cheer and sorrows Christ will come again we ask we seek we knock Christ have mercy Ruth steps forward from under an angel’s wing white robe sun washed southern face joy rising she sings pain gone to sweetness taste and see the goodness of the Lord church mother holds her coat tighter smiles nods it is her right her obligation fugitive baby girl listens mouth open as if to catch the notes Daddy feels his heart clutch in love and we are knit as one peace be with you members in their finest travelers in weary garments those who search the streets in same day shirts hearts of the people here and gone open take up the cry pass it one to another behold the Lamb of God http://www.lourdesatlanta.org/ |

Fantastic, the quantity of quality here is remarkable, but the gems are in the subtle descrptive oservations and nuances within movement, like this... ''slips the moorings of her daddys arms''..very good...thank you.. Goldenrose. |
