5238 Prayer of Beauty 31 March 2006 Her beauty was a prayer her presence a soul untwined This love - this lust within was there value in her worth A woman of solace her purity stained To sleep - to hold to want - to need But what of God would He ever answer Those quests in questions unread why was this shadow empty An appearance of mercy not getting through could it have been wrong to stand her so high Of this affliction unable to untangle not being aware of reason to ponder “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.” Ecclesiastes 3: 11 KJV a poet who cares |
