3319 Personal Fault 17 November 2003 To all the Michelle's I had loved before Then was it not Rachel who was knocking at the door So much for the truth to be poetic in a lie Just to be alone with no one near to hear the cry As if there was another who had already been named Only in attentions they were not gained towards her aimed For this was a life often unhappy in result Like the blame could be placed with God in being his fault “. . . My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me ?” Matthew 27: 46 KJV “MY God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me ? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring ? Oh my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.” Psalms 22: 1-4 KJV a poet who cares |
