Ways Of Travel

I suppose at one time or another
in this thing called life
we all give up things we love
when they cause us strife

like alcohol and married men.

Happenstance too, plays a part,
or when it's just time to go,
when things become routine, I mean
when it's just lost the glow.

A quest for better things,
a road to the unknown,
I know these things can't follow me
and I would rather go alone.

Things we love...left behind,
or even sadder, lost,
but ways of travel are meant to be,
and even though I'm sad, I see
why our paths had crossed.

I missed this one somehow. I'm glad I just so happen to stroll back just a little.
