It's a miracle what the earth gives
From water, sun and seed
The beauty of flowers that paint the earth
The food that fills our needs.

I haven't the touch for growing
But love seeing the garden grow,
Watching the seeds turn into plants,
The miracle of life from soil.

I do my gardening late at night,
Fill my basket with fruits from labor,
Besides it is the safest time,
(Cuz the garden is my neighbor's).

HeeHee!! Toe, my husband could grow anything
in a garden, but not me.

Good to read you, Sweetie.

Toe, if you were my neighbour, you could forage to your heart's content in my garden!

It is sooo good to be reading your poetry again! I hope you're staying awhile this time!

Springy hugs o' love,

ROFL... Even the best farmer's market can't offer that kind of price... or freshness! LOL

Just make sure the moon isn't full when you're "gardening". *G* I know you'd probably have a ready explanation that you were chasing away the rabbits... and that you were just picking those peppers to keep them safe... but the neighbor might not be "buying" any more than you! LOL

Enjoyed this so much!!

Delightful!  The deer always raid our garden at night.  Perhaps you could blame it on them?

I don't know about you Toe. Just as I fall into the rhythm and meaning of your poems... you throw us a zinger. That's the second time today you've made me laugh out loud. Keep 'em coming.

Yep, there's nothing like a little midnight gardening -- just me and the rabbits!

I hope you get as many smiles in your life as you give....if you do, you're a rich man.
