"Sheep May Safely Graze" by J. S. Bach

~*~*~*~*~*~*
Sheep May Safely Graze,
and the Choir might sing.
Harmony could echo
throughout Poetic Dream.
Beasts of burden
could rest their heavy loads
here in the Garden
not that far from home.
Cattle could be lowing
a melody sublime
with vibrations of caring for
others that they find.

And we might hear...
in a perfect world.

lovely...I only got to hear a  small amount  ..think this older computer doesn't  get through the buffer zone too well. I will try it later on my  newer one.

What I heard came through beautifully.

Jo - wouldn't it be lovely if there was such a thing as a perfect world.  I also had trouble with the audio but my mind was busy constructing my own idea of a perfect world so I was gone - lost in a world of my own.  This one here needs strength and I think I'm about out of that commodity.
Hugs, dear Jo!

smile...

I found a perfect world--just off of Little Flock road, too!

and for once, I didn't need sound, thank goodness (subwoofer came back to life only briefly--I guess to taunt me into burning my music to disk!)

yer lovely

and I can't wait until I hear from you again

(big angel hugs) Oh Jo, this poem made me tear up because I dream of this kind of world ever soooooooo much too, and I actually see just this beautiful world in my dreams when I'm holding my dream girl's hand and waltzing down the wisteria lane! (wipes tear) This is gorgeous, sweet friend, if only we could all love one another unconditionally and spiritually as we do our true loves, the world could be as perfect as possible, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jo, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I am covered in goosebumps listening to this!  Your poem is more than eloquent, and sometimes we do hear perfection in a perfect thought such as this is, when hearing gives way to speech (or music)!

Bach is one of my favorite classical composers.  Isn't ironic and incredible that some of the virtuosos were deaf or became deaf yet composed such beautiful music?  Hearing becomes a quality of Mind!

Thank you so much for sharing this.  I can still feel the vibrations of beauty of the music inside myself, and the sound has stopped!    Awesome...truly.

My country of New Zealand has 50 million sheep and 4 million people. Then it once had 3 million people and 60 million sheep

One can only ponder, as the world eats at McDonald's - even if the cheese in a 'BigMac' may be made in New Zealand (in some outlets the world over)

Hi Jo

A pile of topsoil is calling my name this morning, so I don't have the time to listen..

But I think you know that I just had to read this poem, the title pulling me in...and

"And we might hear...
in a perfect world."

I do not look for perfection in this world, to me it is unatainable, but I will settle for the excellence of a far more peaceable kingdom...

"The wolf did with the lambkin dwell in peace
His grim carnivorous nature there did cease
The leopard with the harmless kid laid down
And not one savage beast was seen to frown."

Edward Hicks- Peaceable Kingdom...

Peace.......ice/ford

One of the nicest things about your
poetry, Jo, is that you bring in poets
who would add their own poetic thoughts..

so not only are you a pleasure to read,
but a ramble through the responses
is always a joy...

write on!

Reminds me of some of the moments from the paradise where we were raised.  Mom and Dad didn't have much, but they gave us lifetime beauty by sticking it out on the farm.  Also, liked the spiritual references...  Beautiful, beautiful writing, Jo.  Another for the library!
