the bending rose grown so long the rose bends rose that would climb the slender wand heavy with buds and dew weighed almost round a flower reaching down while the stiff hibiscus yearns upward open as a baby bird open as a lover did they kiss last night in starlight keeping tryst unbidden, waking while the jasmine bloomed alone? |

Ed...There is much inspiration in the garden...I see you've found it too. I'm so glad! |

"while the jasmine bloomed alone?" Oh Ed... I am envious. This is wonderful. |

That rose is a Crimson Glory - now don't argue with me because I can smell it and I know the smell of a Crimson Glory better than I do any other rose! Really loved this, especially the ending. Don't ever answer the question as the mystery enhances the appeal. Lovely, Ratleader. - Owl |

Ed~ Do you have ANY IDEA just how poetically fragrant this penning is ? Kind sir ... you have presented a bouquet of thought to a hungry heart~ How do I say thank you ? .... OFTEN .... yes, that's it~ I'm printing this one ... framing it ... and it will hang where this lady can breathe the essence of it when most needed~ I am ever grateful that you are a poet~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |
