When branches fall from a tall oak tree in the feel of a woman’s dream the body of one planted in love grieves and mourns in the realm of soul that maybe is real or is not. And amidst the tears of her empathy come the words of that saddened tree loud and clear into the day to awaken the feeling of love … and love would give sons to heal the tree’s wounds if they were her own property. But children can only be wooed away by respect and admiration for that tree in need of stopping the fall of more heartache down to the floor and her love of trees of no consequence in the minds of one, two, and three, oblivious to the realm of soul that maybe is real or is not. Oh, she suffers the plight of that tall tree but knows she cannot say more until the tree bends into love and folds up past history … and she doesn’t know, just doesn’t know, if trees ever dream the same dream as a woman whose grief and mourning maybe is real or is not. Thank you for listening to your dreams, Helen. A timely write, as I just visited an exhibit last evening of Carolyn Wedel, two dimensional artist, and most of her art in a series focused on trees in various form. Her art would have complimented your poem very well, and vice-versa. Well done! |

I'm remembering an old 'oak tree' personality from my childhood from reading this, and am wondering about all her acorns...where they finally took root. Thanks for the thoughtful write. |

Thanks Sunshine and Midnitesun for the read. Some dreams make you feel, some make you see, and some try to help you overcome your fear, but none push understanding to the top of the ... tree! |

Honeybunch: What you see of a tree is only half the story. The taproot is at least the same height below the surface. The branching roots pull in the nutrients and give the tree balance. Sometimes we need to look deeper, below the surface, to find the cause of the falling branches. I enjoyed your dream, fascinating. JL |

Thanks Jo, JL, and martjo, for the read. Perhaps we could say - the root of all decides the fall and the root, our roots, can only be love twisted by life into corners and bends. |
