I never knew until I met you... Just how sweet a kiss could be. I wish my lips had kissed no one but you. But you knew from the start that this ragged heart had been abused a time or two. But, it never skipped a beat until I met you. I thought I was well seasoned. I thought I knew the score. I thought I had tasted all love had to hold. But when I look in your eyes... I realize It was all a game before No other lover ever touched my soul. When our love was new I treated you like a rare and precious jewel. I'll always treat you the way I did back then. Around us...years have passed Treasured times that moved too fast. If I had one wish... I'd do it all again. When my path is filled with darkness... You're my guiding light. And I'll always be your shelter through all the storms of Life. I hope to see each tear drop... Before they reach your eyes. My want for you will never stop. My love will never die. Time can sometimes dull the eyes and routine numbs the soul. Lovers end up burdened by the weight of a love that once was gold. You thrilled my eyes the day we met... and I still see you that way. I swear I'm going to love you Forever and a day. |
