Slender Threads, Faith, and Time

I thought of you today
on the glimmer of a thread
backed up by time
where pages leaf me to laughter
and wisdom

and life is balanced

I thought of the disarray of life
as the pendulum swung back, and forth,
how we can go from gleam
to dusty fingerprints

and etchings of love
can be as fragile as crystal
or as brilliant as the faith
one is born with
or acquires

I thought of time spent
and times to come
where I might hold all
or nothing
but memories

In this hushed perusing
of my belief, designed
by a larger force,
it becomes forged more solid
than ever…

of how, without knowing, you’ve
touched me, in ways that
I will be able to return to,
through your writing

your art

your beliefs…

and how much I look forward
to more moments
spent with you
no matter how much time we have
or don’t have…

I thought of you today
on the glimmer of a thread
backed up by time
where pages leaf me to laughter
and wisdom

and life is balanced

because I will see you here

and there

on a glimmer
in time
with laughter
by wisdom

balanced.

Tks KJ for stirring the memories just a bit.

How I miss her too...

she was such an open and kind soul.

I am learning to study the bestness of my people who remain with me in my heart.

Maybe someday, I'll come close.

Out of the blue, she crossed my mind an hour or two ago...
but not realizing the date, I didn't know why...

Now I know...

Thank you...

Sunshine, I didn't know her at all, but with a pseudonym like Chipmunk and with all the wonderful things you and everyone else said about her, she must have been a very special person.  I feel that grief unites everyone who has experienced it.  I feel that, not knowing her, I don't have the right to say the following, but I'm going to say it anyway - Thank you from Chipmunk.

I know she is reading your poem aloud surrounded by Flicka, my horse, Serenity Blaze's Mojo, Mysteria's Mojo, Martie's canary and all the other people and animals there who are close to any Pipster.

Exquisite poem. I didn't know her either but she must have been a star to inspire such loving work.

The bonds formed here are really amazing.  I'm going to go back and read some of her work as I didn't know her.  It is a wonderful thing that Ron and all have done here....somehow, it does seem eternal.  Such a precious write; I can feel the love.   ....jo

wonderful. beautiful. wonderful.
should I say more?
your poem certainly calls for it, only I cannot think of what to say that would serve it well enough.
special.

I find that sometimes I need a certain poem, more than anything in this world at that particular moment....and I know it only after the fact, when I discover those words and read them.

This was one of those moments. My thread seems easier now...balanced.

I'm sorry I missed this when it was posted... but then... I think it touches me even more now that it would have then. *S*
