My Ruby Slippers what would I do if I could change things and do it all again helpless love would not let me hold you and I was powerless to unmelt you gave me rings around the moon I was so drawn to its pull for I had never loved anyone like I did you not before or since breath halted in your name where time unraveled quickly stopping the world in your company just too much to share with anyone else once a comfort in a hurricane splashing sunset in pale the best day I ever had where you became my words every letter was you I could click paper and pen just to be home again a true haunting now a hollow sound echoing where everything I write ends up being about you I have almost ceased writing and life has gone on unknowing the secret to forget I hear you thinly in the wind invisible tears worn with rain I can not forget I can not another lesson I never learned like no matter what you do you can not make someone love you yet, there is a dull missing ache and when you went I just wish you had left me strong just some words cut out |

What a dance of love this poem is....a dance alone, but a dance. It's one of those rare pieces that leaves me thinking, that now I wouldn't need to read another word today. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

"for I had never loved anyone like I did you not before or since breath halted in your name where time unraveled quickly stopping the world in your company" OK, the whole poem slammed me, but these lines just plain blew me away. I believe one of the basic lessons of karma is to experience a relationship in which hopelessly loving is the baseline. The reciprocal lesson is that of being hopelessly loved. I do not believe there is any way to avoid these lessons permanently; we can simply postpone them. |

"I can not forget I can not another lesson I never learned like no matter what you do you can not make someone love you" Terrific lines in this poem. Well done. |

You expressed that "dull missing ache" very, very well. Your ruby slippers await! May you soon be dancing in them! EA |
