How you take the joke and make it
such a swelling, telling write!

It was a joke, as you might know, of friends,
who love to say that this "gal from CA" is
nothing but "beached" in the confines of Kansas.  Now, the "babe" part...well, that was, and still is, in the eye of these old beholders that know me far too well these last few years...

but truthfully?  Dear poet, you've made my year!
