He Promised Her |

He promised her a love song, he promised her the moon. What he gave her was a broken heart, his love had no tune. And in the misty morning, with no tears left to fall, she reaches for the telephone, and gives my love a call. She asks me for a coffee, just the sholder of a friend. A moment of warm embrace, then it's back to him again. She asks me to comfort her, she say's I make her smile. She really don't want to bother me, she'll be gone in just a while. He promised her forever, he promised her true love. But everything he promised her, he knows nothing of. He gave her a mansion, with satin pillows to cry upon, and jaded halls to echo, her feeling of alone. |

Is this one of your songs, Steven? Sure has the rhythm for one, and the sad/romantic theme. Much enjoyed! |

Love: rarely uncondiditonal, an enigma at times, a blessing when it happens, always a teacher....and friends are often angels unaware. ~ Klassy ~ |

Steven, I can hear the strains and strings of both the piano and guitar... a song, indeed. |

Thank you Rainbowdust, If only...indeed! Thanks for the read nn, I'm glad you enjoyed! :-) Thank you Klassy, true, true, true, true, and true, now I'm really confused. :-) Thanks Deep_inside, a story that many understand. Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for the read Magnus, and no doubt will be till the end of time. Or untill we all get love right the first time which ever comes first. :-) Thank You Sunshine, I will be traveling to Nashville soon to cut a demo of a song. I don't sing or play very well so I have to hire singers and musicians. This is all new to me and I have found it to be very expensive. But what the hay? You only live once...I think! |
