5162 Rome - Neither in a Day 10 March 2006 Love has a way of finding home but where was death - where was Rome A place in New York to ponder neither of Italy to speak This land of Niagara a Canandaigua to stand Like an Ontario in California or much closer in thought All toward geography in name not Michigan neither to contemplate The capital of being Canaan an Ottawa to dream Love has a way of seeking reality a blindness held from inside A place of Rachel to live Nevada and West Virginia land of hopes in glory past Rome in New York State, USA, and Canandaigua including Ontario County and the Finger Lakes Region of New York. Or even Ontario, California, USA. To a place where Ottawa, was the Canadian capital city established in the Ontario Province of Canada. Lake Ontario and other Great Lakes of the region on the border of the USA and Canada. For even Rachel was a locality of Nevada and West Virginia States in the United States of America. Such was the reality behind a name and those origins of truth. Where in 1861, the city of Turin became the first capital of the Kingdom of Italy. Most of the Papal States were included in the Kingdom of Italy, proclaimed in 1861, but Rome was excluded. Rome became the capital of a united Italy after October 1870 following a period of political unrest while the Pope and head of the Catholic foundation, refused to accept the government's offer of settlement, choosing to style himself a prisoner in the Vatican. The situation was not resolved until 1929, when sovereignty within Vatican City was granted as a enclave within Italy, as to be foreign to its own surrounding Italian territory. a poet who cares |
