When the light came through your lies the impact was so great it broke her heart to tell you she’s not your little girl anymore All her work from then until now has been to prove you wrong… and she thought that she could fly but you cut her wings so often she never made it off the ground you walked on her dreams and then expected her to love you because you gave her life when what you did was pirate her memories leaving her with nothing to treasure |

"when what you did was pirate her memories leaving her" You have a great empathy for children Caroline. I enjoyed this piece very much. |

The mistreatment of children breaks my heart ~ as it so apparently does yours. ~ An exceptionally moving write from your compassionate heart. EA |

I acquiesce in silence...this unfolds before me in a similar scenario. You've penned perfectly the bitter reaction to a shattered hero. Sad Karen |
