3874 A ‘Poetic’ Journey Too 11 March 2005 On the road from Tallahassee to Jacksonville on a Friday night Heading along the highway towards the ocean Upon a journey left to right Across the interstate wearing the number ten Set for a touchdown nearer and nearer each bend Approaching the St Johns crossing over at the bridge - along the way In having travelled two hundred miles.-.all in the one day With the Atlantic in sight looking for the ‘two-oh-two’ Oh to be there at last driving the whole night through a poet who cares |

Just remember, I have never been to Florida in my life, but from within my mind As to the bait, that indeed caught a fish on line a poet who cares |

Well if you have never actually driven from Tallahassee to Jax, then you have missed all the pretty parts of Florida! I live almost dead center between the two cities, where the three rivers meet. Its gorgeous here... and quiet! Nice write.. I enjoyed it Caroline~~Native Floridian He who wants a rose must respect the thorn. |
