you said I was a special something
sometimes like a friendly shirt
you didn't mind wearing
over the bare of your exposure
on occasional cold mornings
when lonely left the door open

you said someone should tell me often
what only you felt inside
with your hands in your pockets
unaccustomed to speaking such
as heart piece poetry to eyes wide open
waiting to read the next line

hoping there was a book shelf left
on a wall of many more to follow
small print versions with room
for your recitals to grow
as your hands quit their trembling
and your pockets became more conditioned

to the patches of our unconditional healing

   you are special~
and i love the way your shirt fits
with whispers flowing keeping one
    warm
when hands come out of pockets~

My spirit will rise
above the sea~
There will be no drowning
of my soul or me~

honestly one of the best poems by anyone that I've read lately. Do you listen to Bob Dylan's music? This poem reminds me of "fourth time around" and a lot of the lyrics from Blonde on Blonde (that's the album name if anyone is confused or offended! lol)

wow... this is my kinda stuff! I love how all your pieces have that wonderful cadence. Actually, it reminds me of sheets on the clothesline, snapping in the wind, in slow-mo. Totally a good thing. Everyone always turns to look when they hear that
