our comments were casual coffee
perhaps a bit espresso
in expression
but we did have feelings too
although we were just a table
over the other's lap
on sometimes special occasions

something about the assets
of what isn't seen openly
drew my attention to your windows
and you said a shadow was fine
long as there were no marks
on your skinends tomorrow
as you had plans pretending

like they were first time opinions
of cream colored canvas
before the labels are placed
or like tattoos on bottled milk
or new sails sliding masts
virgining past the fiberglass

with rings that come off easy
_______________

Your espresso is hot...
and Konrad told me
he appreciates the cocoa...

Did you save him some?
