In the Light of Day
19 October 2003

A father
a daughter
A love in the light of day
Yet to be childless
was to pray come what may

Seeking a happiness
to share a life as one
But to be near her
as a parent to come

Such was a living
built with a hint of hope in place
In being void of her love
in a desire to savour such grace

A father
a husband
A parent and more
Not to be at oneness
in sadness ever more
