A clown he didn't want to be, A good friend to be cherished. Hurt deepened, As he was mistaken. He puts on a smile Going that extra mile. None was appreciated, yet rejected. You hurt inside, you brush it aside. Hiding behind that stoned wall, that will bring to your fall. His fist fought for a way to people's heart, Not knowing it pulled them further apart. I long to reach you, But i don know you. There was never a chance, you ran from our glance. Climb out from that wall, if you have heard our calls. We love you, though they say... you are not beautiful. [This message has been edited by FNG (02-18-2006 01:17 AM).] |

I love the entire poem which says so much about loving a child no matter what. I feel it is the mind that people see and judge and hate... but never the Pure Consciousness part of a child...(unfortunately, only parents and love ones can see this part) I especially love this part...it is so true and you have gone and said it so beautifully. "His fist fought for a way to people's heart Not knowing it pulled them further apart" |

there's just so much we can do for them, if they wouldn't want to be helped or trust others...sigh. thanks for your comment. FNG |

I like this poem. It's touching. -krys- "Death, so called, is a thing which makes men weep, and yet a third of life is passed in sleep." -Lord Byron |

I really liked the way you expressed yourself here. It made me rather reflective, which I suppose is its point, right? I'm going to go tell my kids I love them! |

I love that ending. You say you know nuts about poetry. I disagree. When words reach out and touch another's heartstrings? well, that's poetry. |
